Laureles–Estadio (Comuna 11). Character: residential mixed with cafés, bakeries, small parks and local shopping. Nearby points of interest: Estadio Atanasio Girardot sports complex and park, Avenida 33 commercial strip, local restaurants and bars on circular streets. Vibe: calm daytime residential with livelier evenings near restaurants and event days at the stadium. Walking: very walkable for local shops, cafés and parks; short walks to bus stops. Metro: Medellín Metro (line A) and integrated buses provide city-wide access — nearest metro access typically reached by short taxi or bus ride (see directions). Buses and Metroplus: frequent routes run along major avenues (Avenida 33, Carrera 70/76). Taxis and ride‑hailing apps (Beat, Uber, Cabify) are widely available. Cycling: some bike lanes and bicycle-parking at key nodes; short trips by bike are feasible. Driving: streets are regular city grid but expect traffic at peak hours and on event days; street parking is limited. Airport transfers: shared shuttles, taxis or private transfers commonly used to/from José María Córdova (MDE).
